Craftsmanship, Bioceramics, and Regenerative Design at the Palau de Pedralbes.
The emblematic Palau de Pedralbes hosted the second edition of CONTEMPORANIA Barcelona High Craftsmanship, an essential event that brought together over 150 international creators to explore the dialogue between innovation, materiality, and artistic vision.

Within this exceptional framework, I had the honor of exhibiting two of my works in the Fundesarte space, curated by Adriana Campo (Labois agency). Titled "Bathymetries of the craft", the exhibition proposed looking at High Craftsmanship as a stratigraphic territory where each layer—technical, material, cultural, and ecological—speaks of a way of inhabiting the present and our resilience. Alongside a careful selection of eleven creators from multiple disciplines, my works were part of this plural landscape where contemporary crafts dialogue with the sea.

Yumei (夢映) | The thread as a generative structure.
The first selected piece is part of the New Identities series, a collection that intertwines past and present. Yumei stands as a textile architecture that sacralizes the feminine. The work reinterprets crochet, distancing it from its connotation as domestic labor to elevate it to a generative structure, connecting our cultural heritage with the contemporary avant-garde.

Tundra | Bioceramics and living matter.
The second work, Tundra, materializes my research into new material horizons. Starting from traditional techniques such as crochet and artisanal molding, the piece incorporates the pioneering use of eggshell bioceramics. It is a manifesto of regenerative design: matter that, after fulfilling its aesthetic cycle, is capable of nourishing the earth.

Being part of this exhibition has been a milestone in my career. I want to deeply thank Fundesarte, Labois, and Contemporania for this opportunity, as well as the generosity and talent shared with my fellow artisans during these days. Thank you also to everyone who came to look beyond the form, to understand the inspiration and materials that give life to our works.
Selected artists in the Fundesarte space: Anca Ión, Beatriz Zuazo, Cécile Ribas & Alex Frosum, Cristina Velasco, Quim & Txell, Lucía de Gustin, Marta Armada, Regina Dejiménez, and Rosa Nogués.
