In October 2022, the Palacio de Santoña, one of the architectural jewels of Madrid's Barrio de las Letras, became the stage to present my vision of High Craftsmanship within the framework of Madrid Fashion Week at Atelier Couture.

The objective of this exhibition was not simply to show accessories, but to provoke a reflection on the evolution of the trade: how emerging technologies can enhance traditional craftsmanship rather than replace it.

New Identities.

The dialogue between gold and digital code The core of the exhibition was the Nuevas Identidades  series, where I presented my "Orfresadas" pieces. For this collection, I used historical sacred art threads, composed of a silk core spirally wrapped in a micro-fine layer of gold-plated metal. By hybridizing the extreme fragility and slow pace of this hand-woven technique with structures created through 3D printing, crochet acquires an unprecedented, polished, and architectural identity.

The Material Laboratory

Atelier Couture also served as a showcase for the atelier's Experimental Jewelry line. I exhibited the progress of my research in bioceramics (eggshells), bioplastics (gelatins, agar-agar), and the early luxury developments with recycled tires from the Neomatique project.

Co-creation and Exhibition Synergies

The exhibition also celebrated collaborative work with other ethical fashion creators belonging to the La Textilería association. A highlight was the presentation of the Jewel Bag (Bolso Joya), a limited-edition piece co-created with artisan Teresa Entretejidos. In this design, we merged her emblematic silk clutch with my textile expertise, handcrafting the chain, bracelet, and clasp using beads covered in micro-crochet.

Likewise, the showcase featured a collaboration with Cruca, an art-inspired sustainable fashion brand. Their organic cotton "Camisa María" was the perfect guest garment: an elegant collared canvas that enhanced the floral craftsmanship and romanticism of my botanical bow ties.

Institutional Support and Acknowledgments.

The presentation of this collection at Fashion Week was made possible thanks to the funding and support of the Madrid City Council (Ayuntamiento de Madrid), as well as the impeccable work of the Atelier Couture organization and Polka Press. My sincere gratitude goes to the collaborating brands and to all the individuals, clients, and industry professionals who visited the space at the Palacio de Santoña, boosting the value of contemporary High Craftsmanship with their presence and interest.
